About the Role

The Role: 📃

The core responsibilities of this role will be to:

Design and implementing infrastructure and tools to automate and streamline the deployment and maintenance of web applications and services

Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of web applications and services through monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning

Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the availability and resilience of web applications and services

Collaborate with development teams to ensure that web applications and services are designed and developed with reliability, scalability, and efficiency in mind

Develop and implement security controls and best practices to protect web applications and services from security threats

Monitor system performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions

Manage configuration management tools to ensure consistency and standardisation of the infrastructure and systems

Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure the availability and integrity of data

Implement and maintain automated testing and deployment processes to ensure the quality and consistency of web applications and services

Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis to identify and address root causes and improve the reliability and resilience of web applications and services

Site Reliability Lead is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of the systems and infrastructure that support our software applications.

The Role: 📃

Technical capabilities

  • Commercial experience in C#

  • Strong programming skills in one or more IaaC-related languages or frameworks, such as JavaScript, YAML, Terraform, Pulumi, ArgoCD, etc.

About You:  🦸

  • Strong exposure to fast-paced and collaborative working environments

  • Proven track record of managing a small team within a production environment

  • Strong experience with AWS cloud platform

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams

Experience: 🏢

If you can share examples of the above traits and the below experience, we would love to chat with you..

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability and Observability Engineering, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and resolving high-severity incidents

  • Deep understanding of software development, infrastructure management, and operations, as well as the ability to automate and optimise processes to improve system performance and availability.
